Hello all! My name is Emily and I'm providing babysitting services for ages 3 and up. I am currently a Psychology major at ESU and have future plans to become a therapist in the future for children and young adults. In my courses, I have studied the stages of psychological development from infancy to old age. It's essential to understand how children learn and develop through different stages and it has a dramatic impact on how to further understand different age ranges and their behaviors. I believe the importance of child care is understanding every child has different needs. I have cared for my 3 nephews (3-5 years old) and 1 niece who is 18 months, ever since the eldest was born. Ever since my first nephew was born, childcare had taken a very special place in my heart. They all have very unique personalities/needs and I learn something new from them every day, even getting a different perspective on things! I am equipped with my own vehicle so I am more than happy to bring/pick up the children from and to school. Services included range from assisting with homework or school projects, preparing meals & snacks, maintaining light household chores, and encouraging learning activities and play through age-appropriate activities. I'd also love to plan activities throughout the week for the little ones as well so there's never a dull moment. What I'm looking for is providing care during the week M-F and ultimately until 5:00 pm, as I am enrolled full-time in college. I am flexible with full-time and part-time, depending on the hours needed.
