I am looking to care for 2 children, ages 3-5. Although, while in my care your child will have fun and have a lot of playtime, I believe firmly in teaching early educational skills that will give children a head start in school and develop within them a love of learning. I provide excellent childcare in a positive and safe environment that enhances the natural growth of children. I am committed to the flourishing of children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, providing tools and interventions that foster a love of learning, a love of self and a love of the environment and the people, animals and plants within it. A little about myself... I am 30 years of age and was born, raised and have always lived in North Carolina. First and foremost, I am a child of God. Although I would never force my beliefs upon anyone, I joyfully and openly give Him praise and share His word. I am happily married and have two beautiful boys, so quite naturally I am a dedicated wife and mother. Throughout high school I worked with children ages 0-5 years in my aunt's daycare. I went off to college in 2001and graduated in May of 2005 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in sociology. Throughout college I took up several courses that built on my foundation and love of working with children and learning how they develop and are motivated. Throughout college I also completed volunteer work servicing the community and after graduating, I worked for 3 years in a group home that served troubled adolescent females. More recently I have held the title of qualified mental health professional working with youth ages 3 and up and their families, teaching symptom and behavioral monitoring/management, parenting and emotional awareness skills. I have accumulated over 10 years of experience in working with children, mostly those with behavioral, learning, mental and emotional disturbances. Throughout the years, I have been blessed with the opportunity of carrying out my passion for life, which is to help children recognize their greatness and function successfully in their day to day lives. I believe that it is my calling to work with children and be an instrument in their lives and the lives of their families. It has always been in my heart to work in childcare to give children a bright and strong foundation and God has placed certain circumstances in my life to allow me to do just that!
