My name is Sydney and I am a student at Lane Community College. I am studying with future hopes to be a Children's Counselor. I have many years of experience with kids, and I love spending time with them! I am good with all ages, but especially with children from 5-12 years old. I have two younger siblings, and plenty of younger cousins whom I spent a lot of time looking after in my younger years. I have also taken two different Child Development classes, along with a First Aid and Wellness class. So I know how to deal with an emergency or even a slight injury in the time being. As I mentioned, I love spending time with kids. Activities I enjoy include coloring, board games, and pretty much anything else you can think of. But while I love "play-time"...I know how to settle down and get to more serious matters, such as when homework or chores are needed to be done. I follow all rules of bedtime, and will, to the best of my ability, guide even the most hyper of children to calm down for bed. I love to read stories, and I know a few lullabies if that's what helps your child to settle down. Also, I am more than willing to do a couple chores, take care of your pets, and prepare meals. Currently I am working a part-time job and taking a couple of classes at Lane. So while I have a pretty available schedule, there are certain days in which I wont be able to work. Therefore, I prefer that you give me a two-day notice before the date you want me to babysit, but if that isn't possible, don't worry about it. We can still figure something out!
