Hello, I’m Ceilidh (pronounced ‘Kailey’, it’s Scottish Gaelic). I am 23 years old. I love children and have been babysitting and fulfilling various childcare roles since the age of 12. After working as a full-time legal assistant for the past year, I discovered a passion for law and I am currently in my first year at Brock University, completing my philosophy degree, with the goal of applying to law school upon completion. I am looking for a part-time position in the Niagara Region, and there is nothing I would love to do more than provide childcare for a wonderful family. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages. Some of my experience includes babysitting, volunteering in a classroom with children who have various mental health struggles and special needs, teaching Sunday school, volunteering at a youth support and recovery program, and working as a residence don at a boarding school. Last year, I ran the children’s activities for Niagara’s first Irish Festival and the coming year, I will be the Chair of Children’s Programming. I am confident in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the kids in my care. I have cared for children from infancy to the age of 12, and the most children I have cared for at one time was 9. I am available for live in or live out positions, and am willing to assist with housekeeping, meal prep, and provide medications and CPR if necessary. I love animals and am also comfortable providing pet care. I have my full license, a clean driving record, and access to a vehicle. I also took swimming lessons for many years and am very comfortable supervising in the water. I charge $17.00 hourly, and I am always eager to learn and grow in my profession.
