Sitter in Edmonton, Alberta

My name is Maddie. I grew up in rural central Alberta and after graduating from high school, I moved to Germany, where I lived for 6 years. I initially went there to au-pair (live-in nanny), which I did for 12 months. I had several years of babysitting experience prior to that, and for the entire duration of my time there I was involved in both private childcare and teaching English to children and teens in small classroom settings. I am comfortable and competent in a variety of duties ranging from reading to children and helping with homework to taking them to school and extracurricular activities, to planning and participating in activities with them (swimming, baking, sledding, playing in the park, outdoor scavenger hunts, etc.), to cooking and housework. I returned to Canada in 2019, and moved to Edmonton in 2020 to be with my fiancé. We are planning on getting married and starting our own family in the next couple of years. Things I enjoy doing are cooking and baking, reading, gardening and going for walks, runs and swimming. I am also an animal lover. I am currently working part time as a nanny for two beautiful little girls and looking to work a bit more, if I am able to find a family who is a good match.
