I have experience with a 5 year old neighbor whose mother was occupied with twin newborns, and I helped with the newborns as needed. I kept the 5 year old busy with creative games, taking her for a walk, and giving her snacks. I’m comfortable with first aid and I took a babysitting course online. I am also willing to get CPR certified if that is needed. I have taken care of newborns and toddlers with the parents around when I was younger but now I’m comfortable with taking care of children alone.
