Sitter in Waterloo, Iowa

Hello! I'm looking for a stable babysitting/nanny position with a family in the Iowa City area. I have extensive experience babysitting children from ages 8 weeks to 13 years old, and feel comfortable caring for as many as five children at once. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have a valid driver's license/access to a reliable vehicle, and have a passion for childcare. My schedule is wide open for the summer and flexible around classes during the academic year. I communicate in a timely fashion. While I prefer to work long term with families, I am also open to babysitting on a as needed basis. Ask me anything! I'm studying public health at the University of Iowa and have just completed my sophomore year. In my free time I enjoy hiking, cooking, attending community events, and hanging out with friends. I grew up in small town Iowa and was blessed with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities throughout my childhood. This variety of experiences culminated in a scholarship to the University of Iowa. Go Hawks! I babysat a lot in high school and find myself missing the joy of working with kids and being a positive influence. Since moving to Iowa City I've held food service and office staff positions and would like to transition back to providing childcare. Having a healthy relationship with the family is important to me as a babysitter or nanny. I believe in upholding parents' rules and respecting each family's unique style.
