Sitter in Old Forge, Pennsylvania

Hello! My name is Nichole and I am currently a graduate student studying political science. When I first went to college I majored in education and went to different events including the Buddy Walk, where we were each paired up with a child. Since then I have changed to political science, but I would love to teach high school students. I have experience babysitting and petsitting. I usually watch my family friend's children, but i have also watched my own siblings growing up. I have also worked at Miles Street Park in Old Forge over the summers where I would watch the children there, as well as helping them make crafts. I am a very creative person so I'm always looking for fun, interactive crafts and games for the kids I look after. I currently work part time at the Dickson City Civic Center helping with virtual learning as well as after school activities. The children there range from pre-school to around 5th grade. I have all of my clearances, including a PA criminal background check, a child abuse history certification, a federal criminal history check, and clearance with the NSOR. I also have a certification in recognizing and reporting child abuse in PA from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work and a certification of completion for the “Get Started with Center-Based Care: Building Blocks for Quality”, which is a ten hour course for staff professionals in PA, which includes a mandated health and safety education.
