Hello! My name is Madison Hafer. I am sixteen years old. I know I'm young and that might scare you but unlike most sixteen year olds I attend berks career and technology school for early childhood education. After I graduate I plan to become a child life specialist. During the school year I participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lacrosse, and Family Career and Community Leaders of America. In the upcoming school year I will be president of my local chapter of FCCLA. I have babysat for multiple families including two families with ADHD children. Attending Berks Career and Technology center has given me amazing opportunities that most people my age do not get. I have my child background checks, CPR certification, Fire safety training, and my red cross babysitting license. Another thing I have gained through attending berks career and technology center is over 80 hours of training in a head start classroom, working with three to five year olds. Through this I have learned how to handle children who are not having their best day, learned how to teach children in a fun yet educational way, and also how to manage multiple children at a time.
