Greetings! I am Joneek currently residing in Brooklyn and I've been a babysitter for more than 7 years. I was born and raised in the caribbean and still adapting to the American culture. I have a belief that a child needs to feel love and attention no matter current situation, so I decided to get into babysitting because of the genuine love and nurturing aspects that I naturally exhibit when around children. I have done both part-time and full-time babysitting jobs so I can say that I understand the aspect from either side of the fence. I have worked with children as young as 6 months to 12 years old so my experience varies with age as well with the activities. As an energetic individual, I've engaged children in various imaginative and creative activities indoor and outdoor- in addition to this I would say that I am a patient, attentive and compassionate individual mixed in one. I have a record of influencing a child's development either leading by example, homework help, reading new books, introducing to new activities, and doing educational activities when necessary. Our future generation has become stimulated through the screens at an alarming rate and I always strive to bring a sense of balance back to that. Reminding children that there is far more interesting things to engage in beyond an electronic device. I strongly believe that children should be influenced in spending time in nature to connect with themselves and their environment. Based on past experiences I’ve also noticed that having the opportunity to be active outdoors plays a crucial role in a child’s physical development. A normal routine for me as a babysitter would be but not limited to: -Getting a child ready for school -Dropping and/or picking up from school. -Doing neighborhood errands -Preparing light meal and dinner -Personal Assistant to parents -Babysitting date nights -Supervising extra-curricular activities
