Hey! My name is Abbey. I'm 23 years old and I have many years of experience supervising, entertaining, and meeting the various needs of youths of all ages. As a former camp counselor, I have no shortage of fun ideas and games to keep kids entertained. I am available for work as a babysitter or nanny. A little about me: I love all things art, nature, and science as well as a good book, so kids with big imaginations and a healthy dose of curiosity get along with me very well! I also love video games, so if your kid likes them too, I'll happily play along or supervise. (I also have a good sense of when enough screentime is enough!) I'm good at improvising fun activities wherever we may be, indoors or out, and always come prepared with an arsenal of games for every situation. My Qualifications: I've received weeks of training in handling conflict, responding properly and swiftly to safety and emotional emergencies, and how to talk to young people without talking down to them. I've learned through training and through experience how to incorporate learning into everyday moments to help inspire positive character development and personal growth. I'm also First Aid trained and CPR certified, so your child will be safe! As a camp counselor I've worked with kids of all age groups from Kindergarteners to highschoolers. I'm also trained in and have experience supervising neurodivergent and disabled kids. Important details: > Driver's License and reliable transportation > Able & willing to travel outside of Tacoma & Federal Way to an extent. Distance traveled depends on length of shift (ie, I'm willing to travel a bit further for overnight shifts.) > Open availability, including overnight > Available on short notice > First Aid trained & CPR certified I live right on the border of Tacoma and Federal Way and I can provide my own transportation, so I'm comfortable and willing to head out to your location.
