I am currently a camp counselor for Essex Junction Recreation and Parks looking for work after shift ends. I have a reliable car, valid license, and background checks required to work under a school district. I am available every day after 1pm from now until August 7th after which I will be away for a week and then return to different hours as I will be training to lead incoming freshman at the University of Vermont on a 1 week wilderness trip until August 27th. I am also available for weekend and night care throughout the year. I love the outdoors and would love to spend time outside with your child whether it's hiking, biking, or swimming. Typically I am paid between $12 and $18 depending on the number of children. Rates can be adjusted if you would like swim lessons included. Swim Lessons: I taught swim lessons accredited by the Red Cross for 3 years previous to this summer at a sleep away camp in NH. If your child needs help simply getting into the water or improving strokes, I can provide 1 on or private group lessons in your own pool, at a community pool, or in the beautiful water VT has to offer. $15 for a half hour and $30 for a full hour. Group rates can be adjusted with 5 or more kids.
