Experienced nanny, mother of two amazing young adults, mature, reliable, fit, healthy, athletic and energetic university-educated longtime professional woman. I have recent experience with an infant, and with young school-age kids. I ran a small daycare when my kids were young, I worked as a nanny before university and a babysitter for years, and I am a mother of two wonderful young men. I'm ready to be a grandma, but they will not be having kids for quite a few years yet! I treat children with respect and listen to them, and we have great fun together. I get along well with kids of all ages, I make learning fun for little ones and can help with homework for bigger kids. While I have not worked professionally with special-needs kids, I did volunteer and work with special-needs kids while I was in school. I also have experience with blindness, having volunteered as a guide for blind triathletes. I cared for both of my parents and my grandmother at the ends of their lives, and have great caring and compassion for people of all ages and abilities, and it's very important for me to treat all with kindness and respect -- but also a sense of fun! I am a good cook, and make healthful food and snacks, and the kids can make cookies with me too! :) I am semi-retired from publishing, still helping people to become published when their project is interesting to me, and still publishing my own books, including illustrated children's books. I speak French well enough to teach to beginners, and I studied both arts and science at university. I love to learn. and I love to inspire the love of learning! Also, in case this is important, I drive and have a car.
