Hey my name is Sammy! I’ve had a passion for babysitting since I was just a child myself. Even though I grew up the youngest in my family, being the only girl amongst 2 older brothers almost immediately showed me that I had to be the “responsible older sibling”. With that, I felt required to make sure homework/chores got done before my parents got home from work, even making sure everyone woke up on time for school the next day. Despite not being the typical requirement as the baby; at the end of the day, it really didn’t bother me, I enjoyed taking on the extra responsibilities so young and am now thankful for them because that’s when I recognized my natural nurturing abilities, and the complete passion from my core for looking out for people, and doing whatever I could to help. I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life. Knowing this I was always the go to “free babysitter” in my family. I found myself never lacking work, whether it be my cousins, neighbors, or just a close family friend. Soon after becoming a routine babysitter I was approached by a family friend about watching her 5 month old baby girl and even getting paid for it! I will forever be grateful for that specific job not only opening a whole new world to me, but making me consciously aware of the special tenderness and care that goes with watching an infant. Just taking in the fact that an infant is solely dependent on you is a very special but responsible feeling. I knew from that day on, without a doubt, I always wanted to be around kids, no matter what the age, and at that time I actually had the experience to do so.
