I am a mature and competent 28 year old female who has always desired to work in a profession with children, which has guided me down a path in choosing to continue my education in Occupational Therapy. I am a recent graduate of UAB receiving a Master of Science in this field. I believe in adhering to family house roles, rules and responsibilities (i.e. everyday routines, homework schedules,appropriate television programs, visitors). I have worked with a wide array of pediatric populations from birth to eighteen years old, with varying conditions including, but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, and sensory processing disorders, where I received my most recent work experience at United Cerebral Palsy Hand in Hand Clinic n Birmingham, AL. I'm able to cope to unacceptable behaviors and adapt to emergency situations calmly. I am CPR certified and believe in consistency of care, knowing that children are very influential, learn through active engagement and learn daily from birth throughout the lifespan.
