Resume Summary: Nice to meet you! My name is mikhayla. I am 23 years old and a graduate of Penn State (main) with a degree in women studies. I am interviewing for a baby-sitter position in State College, Pennsylvania. I am committed to being a caring candidate. I will work part or full-time as required. Service Abilities: I have experience with play date supervision, meal preparation, and children's crafting. On top of this, I are comfortable working with sick children. I have experience in child care. I have experience working with children who suffer from mental disabilities. I have hour nieces that I would babysit and when I was in high school I would babysit for my neighbors. I am getting certified in yoga at the moment. I've always been a patient person and know how important family is. My father passed away almost three years ago and my mother is currently deployed (she is a colonel in the army reserve). I don't get to talk to my family much, but we would find creative ways to communicate with each other. For example, instead of waiting for my mother to call I would write her a letter. She suggested the idea and now, years later, I have a shoe box full of letters that I will one day turn into a scrapbook. Speaking of crafts, I worked at a craft store when my father first passed and continued because I loved art and it helped a lot with coping since I was so far away from home. I taught wire wrapping classes while working there, I like to draw, paint and sculpt (though I'm up for anything). I also am very active. I have a dog named Bonnie (husky) who I spend a lot of my time with when I'm not working for at yoga. She's very friendly and has her shots, she's about 9 months now and loves loves loves kids she used to play with my nieces and nephews (4 girls and 2 boys). I have another hobby that might seem silly, but I think you'll love. I hula hoop! Yes, I am a very good hula hooper and have many of them big as well as small. I started doing it 5 years ago and I've performed at music events in PA and CT (where I am from). I also play with silk fans and love dancing like nobody is watching :). If others were to describe me they'd say that I'm one of the kindest souls they know, I listen and only want the best for myself and everyone that surrounds me.
