I am a third year UCI student. I am double majoring in Psychology and Social Behavior and Education because of my love for children. I lived in apartment complexes my whole life therefore i was always surrounded by children and i loved it. It was very natural for me to interact with these children and help them with their homework. Due to that i developed a passion for making a difference in children’s lives, knowing that I can help these children reach their full potential and positively impact their future brings me immense joy. That is why I am extremely happy to be given the opportunity to possibly care for children. Since I was in middle school to this day, I have been a teacher assistant at church so every Sunday I help out with the care of children during services. (we play with them, teach them about the bible.) It is very rewarding seeing kids blossom out of their shyness and for a few months, I worked at a daycare with children ages 3-12 and I absolutely loved going to work everyday. This daycare was more academic based therefore I helped the older children with their homework, taught them math skills, helped the little ones with their abc’s and counting, even reading. Once again it was very rewarding watching these kids grow academically. Now, I am currently a Behavior Technician and have been working for a few months but looking for more experience with children. Working and interacting with children has always been very fun and natural for me.
