A recent empty-nester, I enjoy spending time with children of all ages! I have experience interacting with children in numerous ways including: instructing in a public school environment as a Title-One Aide; maintaining a home-based daycare center, satisfying licensing standards under the state of Connecticut, Naval Housing, and FDA requirements; planning/executing Cub & Boy Scout activities/outings, as well as working with youth and leaders as a BSA employee - all while raising a family of my own. I am fortunate to have a husband who has a full career, providing well for our family, including our two wonderful young men. I enjoy spending as much time with my boys as possible! Our home often the "weekend hangout" over the years, has now become an environment these 'weekenders' are comfortable enough to visit even though my sons now longer reside with us on a full time basis. My desire to care for children is to be a part of creating a caring environment for their continuing growth.
