Hello! I am a volunteer therapeutic preschool teacher. I am also a psychology student with an emphasis on child development, disability and neurodiversity. (I am thrilled to work with ADHD, ASD children etc. and neurotypical children!) I have cared for infants through school-aged kids in my daycare experience, which also allows me to be extremely comfortable caring for groups, including mixed-age. My care is always an LGBTQ -informed and safe space and would strongly encourage these families to get in touch. I am trauma-informed and have experience working with families facing adversity and stress. I am capable of being non-judgemental of families undergoing stress. I am excited to include pet care in our arrangement! I have experience volunteering with three different animal rescues. I'll teach your dog to sit or cat to high five if you ask! I am always happy to discuss your unique situation and devise ways to accommodate it together. Let's talk! More Information: Rate differential based on income and need. Other rates can be discussed. I am happy to bring along some special ideas, projects, or books based on your child(ren)'s favorite things! Just let me know what colors, types of play, or themes they love. I have my own transportation. Transportation of children is NOT provided at this time. (We can discuss exceptions!) About my Philosophy: I believe that the diversity of human expression is something to be celebrated and loved. I also believe in child-led learning and process-over-product focused art and play! I am humbled by our influence on children, who are so easily affected, and pour endless love into working off the clock on new sensory ideas, games, and teachable opportunities for the kids in my care. Play is how children learn and my job is to provide plenty of paths and opportunities to do so and accompany the child(ren) on whatever paths they choose to explore, answering questions, holding hands, and keeping them safe along the way. Every child has an inherent, unquestionable worth and it is important to me that this truth is reflected in all conversations I have with children and the activities we do.
