While there are many fundamental traits that define most teachers such as: content knowledge, classroom management, organization, and passion; an outstanding teacher is one that goes above and beyond what is expected. An outstanding teacher sees a student’s potential while developing a relationship with that student. Part of fostering a student’s potential is to create a safe and welcoming learning environment. In this, one of my aspirations is to be a role model for my students, thus to positively influence my students in the classroom as well as in the community.
