Greetings! My name is Alexis Mahan. I am a current MBA student at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. In undergrad, I was a Business Management and Marketing student who worked as a Residents Assistant and Admissions Supervisor and Caller on campus. My sophomore year of college I babysat for two families, one family of a ten year old and a five year old and another family with children ages 1 year old, four years old, and eleven years old. Last summer, I was employed by the YMCA as a children's sports camp counselor working with children ages 4-11. From seventh grade through my senior year of high school, I was very active in my current and past church's children's ministries. I have been an assistant teacher for students ranging from toddlers to seventh graders. In addition to being the worship leader for children's ministry, I was the children's ministry musical director for my church's Christmas Pageant my junior year of high school. I was a peer mentor and tutor to special education students in their sophomore year at my high school. The summer of 2014, I was the student co-director of my leadership team, Common Sense Culture's missions trip to Costa Rica where one of my responsibilities was purchasing and preparing food for Costa Rican children at a four day children's festival. I am a very responsible and dedicated person who enjoys finding fun ways to engage children and stimulate their minds. I have a place in Mount Vernon, Ohio and sometimes stay with my family in Pickerington, Ohio. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have also dog and cat sat for friends and family for years!
