Hello! My name is Yulissa and currently I am a pre-med biochemistry major here at the College of Saint Benedict/ Saint Johns University. I am very a passionate, caring, and loving individual who strongly believes in helping others. I absolutely love spending time outside and find myself exploring, hiking, camping, or traveling whenever I am able to. I am CPR/ First aid certified and am currently in the process of getting my EMT certification. I have over 2 years experience working with kids aged k-12. I worked as a teachers assistant for 4 months at an elementary school assisting kids with their homework, activities, and everyday tasks. Along with that I have experience working with kids in outdoor scenarios as I worked with the Outdoor U, which is an educative program from kids k-12 that teaches them about different wildlife and natural aspects. I also have experience tutoring and mentoring kids with various school subjects as I worked as a science tutor for our local high school for 2 years. During the school year I work as a residential assistant in the campus halls which requires extensive problem solving skills, organization, and mentoring. I also spend a lot of time volunteering around our community with my Service sorority. Currently I am looking for a summer position part time or full time
