Sitter in Bowmanville, Ontario

My name is Amanda Snyder. I live in Bowmanville, just off Baseline and Waverly, very close to the 401, HWY 2 and 57 and a short drive to the 115. I have my own car independently purchased, owned, insured and licensed. In short, about me, I graduated from Durham College in June of 2015 with a cumulative GPA of 3.945 throughout the entire Early Childhood Education Program. Throughout my studies I always worked very hard and put just as much effort in studying as I did with the children and still do to this day. During the summers when I was a Student I spent a lot of time volunteering at the child care centres that I completed my field placement requirements. My final placement was completed at Edna Thomson Early Learning and Child Care centre in Bowmanville, where I am still currently employed almost two years later as I started February 2015. I have passion to provide care to children that is inviting, enjoyable, and practical to enstill a positive feeling towards learning to fuel a life time of learning and growing. I myself was adopted at age four and the family that adopted me gave me all the attention in the world and as a child, now I want to give back investing in the next generation. Providing quality care that includes all basic living needs, emotional, and social needs, as well as educational stimulation and age appropriate activities. I just reissued my registration in the College of Early Childhood Educators and am in good standings in the College. I also have a police check and would be having another police check to be issued just before landing my next position. I have all my immunizations updated, and I completed Standard Level C - CPR and First Aid Training that is valid for another two years. Growing up I had 6 other siblings and lived in the country in Orono (15 mins from Oshawa). I am not afraid of hard and quality work. I am currently going to school at Ryerson University part time and online to complete my bachelores degree in Early a Childhood Studies. I am completing my course work during my free time and I only have to go to the campus once or twice a semester on the weekends to complete my midterm and final exams. I believe learning never ends, not in a child's life or an my own! I want to continue learning how to be best and become better at what I love to do! Amanda Snyder
