I am a student at University of Guelph, studying towards my Bachelor of Arts in a double major in Studio Arts and Psychology. My end goal is to end up having a Masters in Art Therapy and to work in the field with children. I love children! I want to be an art therapist because I believe children are often misunderstood and I would like to be a voice for them once I work in the field. I take more to taking care of people in mind, body and soul with their needs making sure that they are happy. In the end, that is what I believe makes a person healthy. I am a sympathetic person when it comes to children and very empathetic. Either way, I find myself always learning when I am around children, whether it is about them or myself. I have a real passion in taking care of them and I have a real passion in helping other people so I feel like this will drive and motivate me to help you. I have helped my mother take care of my brother since he was born. I have also volunteered to help out family friends with their children when they were in need of assistance. I have picked up children from school as well taken them out for excursion to the park. I have done some light housekeeping and laundry around the house as well. I have also helped out with older children in their studies and have made healthy meals/snacks for them. I am always looking for more experience however, I find that the more I get, the more that I am able to apply and prove the knowledge that I acquired.
