My name is Annette Larson. I'm 19 years old, and have been working with children for two years now. I have been working at the Y.M.C.A. child care department since early 2016. In this job I have been working full-time, working with kids from kindergarten age all the way to 6th grade. I've been responsible to up to 34 kids a day, where I take them on field trips, plan lunches, help them with games, crafts, etc. and most importantly, being a friend and adult support for them. I have worked with behaviorally challenged kids, and find it very rewarding to see the progress they make. The Y can no longer give me the hours I need, so I'm looking for a new job with kids. I love working one-on-one with kids and getting to know them. Because I work with the Y, I got my finger prints done, background check, took basic first aid classes (including learning CPR), food handling, and I took a blood borne pathogens class.
