Hello I am a full-time graduate student and recently located to NY. I am available immediately for pick-up/drop off and babysitting. My availability is as follows: Monday: 6-9:30am and after 4:30pm Tuesday: 6-9:30am and after 4:30pm Wednesday: 6-9:30am and after 4:30pm Thursday: 6-9:30am and after 4:30pm Friday: 6-9:30am and after 1:30pm Weekend: Anytime MY EXPERIENCE - References are available upon request Prior to relocating to NY, I was working part-time at an out of hour’s childcare center caring for children between the ages of 2-12. I have found it to be a very rewarding experience and I have particularly enjoyed developing the play curriculum, planning, and implementing activity days and craft activities for the children. In addition to my previous position, I have been working as a childminder, on an ad-hoc basis during the school holidays for the past 8 months. I have also worked at an early year’s nursery and prep school caring for infants up to the age of four. My main responsibilities in this role were to prepare educational lessons, plan games and activities, and facilitate hands-on learning activities or field trips and take care of children's personal needs. It was also important to maintain order in the classroom by ensuring children behave, get along with each other and respect one another. My first childcare position was as a youth involvement officer, working with children and young people aged 5-25. I was primarily responsible for planning and facilitating activity days and skills workshops for the children and young people that used the community center. In this role, I had the opportunity and pleasure of working with a diverse group of children and young people who taught me a great deal about personalized care and sparked my interest in childcare and education reform.
