My name is Donna HIrashima, but would like to be called Kona. I'm 54 yrs old and is a mother of two grown boys as well as six beautiful grandchildren (3 girls/ 3 boys). I find it interesting to interact with people in general and have worked with various ages in my work history. Children are the most enjoyable because they wanna know everything and anything. Just soaking whatever information they can get. All in all, chidren likes the attention given to them. I've had the opportunity to work with the elderly, disabled, at-risk youth, church organizations involving kids of all ages. I just love working with individuals and watching them succeed in life. Originally, I'm from the Hawaiian Islands and the life there is very much family oriented. Various backgrounds come to enjoy the life there and that is why I adapt well with people. I've traveled to many states since living my life out here in the states. Yes, I do miss home and very rare do get to travel back home, but I will some day. Just so you know, my choice to move here to the states is because of my grandchildren and wanting to be sure the adapt to a totally different kind os lifestyle. It's been six years and it's getting better. For me.....I've learned to enjoy people from everywhere. It's not always easy, but I'm always willing to do my best.
