Hello, my name is Amanda. I graduated from Dalhousie School of Nursing in 2015 with a bachelor of nursing degree. I am in between jobs and am looking to do childcare in the meantime, as I love caring for children. I have worked the past 2 summers as the camp nurse at a summer camp for kids with chronic illnesses. I have plenty of experience with kids with various chronic illnesses, such as autism, epilepsy, diabetes, etc., as well as various behavioural issues, so you can feel confident that your child(ren) will be in very safe hands. I have worked as a programmer at camp, designing and teaching camp activities, such as art, cooking, swimming, outdoor activities, and science. I have also worked with Mad Science of the Maritimes teaching science classes to elementary schools in the maritimes. I love providing fun and educational activities for children, so your child(ren) will be well entertained while learning and having fun. I am a very patient and caring person, and am very flexible when it comes to hours and pay. I have experience from infants to teenagers. I am able to provide meals, help out with any housework/tidying, and help with homework. I also have a valid drivers licence and reliable car.
