Convenient location in Lenexa, just off of 87 Street Parkway, between Pflumm and Lackman. We are a Licensed Group Daycare Home that has TWO (2) FULL TIME 18 months and up openings beginning: May 29th, 2017. We are really excited for you to meet our great group of kids and join us in preschool learning and play in a home environment. We have been growing up beautiful, smart, friendly kids since 2007 in our loving home environment. Our day starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 5:30 PM. We follow a routine each day and get outside as much as weather permits. My backyard is fenced in with lots of Little Tykes toys, Playhouse and jungle gym to play with. We have at least an hour of free play each day. We rotate toy sets each week so that your little ones mind is always stimulated with new ways to play. We are a Non-Smoking Home, Pet Friendly Home. We have a small dog and cat that are current on all vaccinations. We believe in learning thru play balanced with: • Music Time – Singing, Dancing and Tumbling • Story Time – We read books daily. Scholastic program available to encourage reading at home • Craft Time – Baking, painting, or creative coloring every week. • Science Time – Basic experiments, estimation, nature, etc. • Manipulatives – lacing, play dough, tracing, beads, puzzles to encourage finger dexterity • Play time/free time – outdoors and in • Computer time – Fisher Price Cool Skool available to older kids • Lots of Love We learn ABC’s – letter recognition and letter sounds, counting, numbers, days of the week, shapes, and colors. 3’s and up are encouraged to read books to me and practice writing skills beginning in Tracing workbooks. We work on learning how to spell and write our names. Learn our phone numbers and addresses. We focus on social interactions. We use our words to express feelings. We use our hands to help and not hurt. We use our ears to listen and follow directions. We use our manners to make our friends feel appreciated. We are a Licensed Group Daycare Home – there are always 2 providers nurturing, teaching and supervising your children. We hold the following certifications: • Enrolled in the CACFP food program with Daycare Connection - so your child will receive nutritionally balanced Breakfast, Lunch and Snack each day. • Certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR thru the American Heart Association • Certified in Recognizing the signs of Abuse & Neglect thru the Johnson County Health Department • Certified in Child Development thru the Johnson County Health Department • Certified in Safe Sleep – SIDS practices thru Daycare Connection • Certified in Head Trauma prevention and prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome thru Daycare Connection We are eager to have your precious child join us!
