Hello! I have been actively babysitting for various families since I was in junior high, about 10 years ago. I have since gained experience working with kids of all ages, including infants, as well as multiples and special needs children. In 2008, I volunteered for a reading and literacy program for special needs 1st-6th graders. From 2011 - 2..., I volunteered for an after-school program where I taught dance and musical theater to kids from 3rd - 5th grade. My senior year of high school, I was an English peer tutor for my school's special education department. Recently, I graduated with an Associates Degree in Social and Behavioral Science, with an emphasis on Childhood Behaviors. I will be beginning my Bachelors Degree in October via an online University with the same field of study. I am available for childcare anywhere in the Newport News or Hampton area, as well as in my home in Newport News - though, we do have pets so my home is not suitable for kids with allergies. My apartment complex has a playground and a pool on site that the local kids love. I can provide basic meal prepping and cleaning. Sorry, I cannot do pick-ups or drop-offs at this time. Rates and availability can be discussed as needed. I am also available to provide pet care! Currently, I have a dog and a special needs guinea pig. Previously, I have owned dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, fish, horses, and goats. I will provide pet care in your home only, anywhere in the Newport News or Hampton area.
