Sitter in Manhattan, New York

Hello! I'm Leyanna. I am 19 years old and currently a sophomore at The New School in the lower East side. Finding a job to work alongside my class schedule and around my current work study job has proven tricky, and I wanted a break from the retail style of work, so I have decided to give babysitting/child care a go! For me, it coincides with my love of helping others and offers a more fulfilling route to earning some extra income. My experience, though not stacked professionally, include coming from a large close knit family in which you are born into the sitter lifestyle. Since I was able to do so safely I have been watching siblings and cousins of all ages and at 14 I was given the opportunity to be a volunteer camp counselor at my local Boys & Girls Club.
