I'm an
Individual
Hello, my name is Tara. I am 26 years old. I am experienced. Reliable. Affordable. Clean. Organized. Fun. Smoke-free. I have a full time slot available age 1-5 My weekly rate is 110.00 dollars all snacks and meals included, or 100.00 if you provide the child's snacks and meals. Open Mon-Fri 5am-6pm the full time slot is for 5 days a week up to 10 hours a day. I have included our daily schedule, if you think I would be a good fit for your childcare needs or have any questions please contact me. Daily Schedule This is an estimation of times. Things happen and we do get off schedule but we do try to do things in their order so that the kids have structure and routine. 5:00 am - 6:00 am BREAKFAST I prepare breakfast at this time and eat with the children who are here for breakfast. I try to include them in the process as much as possible by telling them what food we will be eating and talking about the color and shape of it and how it gets prepared. 6:00 am - 6:30 am FREE PLAY I allow the children to play with their choice of toys with their friends under my supervision. I encourage them to share and guide them in exploring their own curiosity in finding what toys interest them and how those toys work. I encourage them to include other children in their play, but allow the child to take the lead and show me what they're interested in playing. 6:30 am- 7:30 am IMAGINATIVE/GROUP PLAY I encourage the children to play as a group in a given activity. Some days this may be playing "restaurant" and guiding them in using the toy kitchen to make food for the "guests" which will probably be me and some teddy bear friends. Other days we may build a zoo out of blocks and animal figurines together. Other times we may put on a talent show or a puppet show together. Whatever activity we pick we make it fun and interactive and include everyone! 7:30 am - 8:30 am MUSIC AND STORIES We have an array of musical toys and instruments for the children to try out. I also like to encourage singing and dancing to silly kid's songs. I am a firm believer that reading to children is essential and I try to draw in each child by asking them questions about the story and I interact with the children as I read to them. 8:30 am - 9:30 am ARTS AND CRAFTS We make awesome art! Some days this is crafting together a holiday themed project, other days we paint, some days it's stickers, others it's play dough or coloring books. We have all sorts of arts and crafts things we do and it all goes home to be treasured by mommy and daddy or friends and family. 9:30-10:... AM SNACK I hand out snack to the children and allow them to eat as I clean up any prior messes that need tending too. 10... OUTSIDE PLAY/EXERCISE I bring the kids outside in our fenced in backyard. I bring out all sorts of toys and allow them to run around and just play. I am outside supervising the whole time. On rainy days we do an inside exercise activity such as Dora Dance or various other dvd's that get kids up and moving or I teach them some of my own crazy moves. During the summer I will do regular water days each week in which water tables and sprinklers will be brought into the backyard for play. 11:00-12... LUNCH I prepare lunch at this time again trying to include them in the process, talking to them about the food, what its shaped like or colors of it, the type of food, and how its prepared. I engage the child by asking them questions and opinions and thoughts about the food and sit down and eat with them. 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm NAP/MOVIE/QUIET TIME Children are given their nap mats, a pillow and blanket, and asked to lay down and watch a movie and take a rest. If a child is restless I do not force them to nap. I ask them to quietly watch the movie, but if the restlessness continues I give them a quiet table activity to do such as puzzles or leap frog games so that the other children can rest in peace. 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDUCATIONAL PLAY I will conduct an activity geared towards a specific skill or lesson. Some days we might focus on counting money, or other days work on names of animals and facts about them, other days we might focus on a game about weather or plants. The goal is to teach them something new in a fun way! 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm PM SNACK I hand out snack to the children and allow them to eat as I clean up any prior messes that need tending too. 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm FREE PLAY The children are given more time in which I allow the children to play with their choice of toys with their friends under my supervision. I encourage them to share and guide them in exploring their own curiosity in finding what toys interest them and how those toys work. I encourage them to include other children in their play, but allow the child to take the lead and show me what they're interested in playing. 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm CLEAN UP Any child still in my care at this time becomes a helper. I have toy cleaning supplies for the children and real cleaning supplies for myself and we go around the house learning organizational skills and the importance of keeping a clean environment. (While having fun and jamming out to music too of course).
