Contact: ...@gmail.com 818-744-... ______________________________________________________________________________ Dear Employer: Thank you for allowing me to share my education and experience in Education and Child Development with you. Teaching is a rewarding experience in which I have, and continue to apply the skills that I have developed over 12 years of experience. I graduated Laude with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and Child Development and have worked in education in various positions as a Student Teacher, Early Childhood Teacher, Parent Educator, Private Tutor and Nanny. Each job has educated me in the important role of family in a childs life and educational success, as well as the many daily responsibilities of a teacher and nanny. These lessons have had a significant impact on the instructional design that I implement. I have worked for 12 years as a teacher in an intergenerational parenting program for infants and toddlers, and have worked for 10 years as a nanny for children from birth through 12 years old. My student teaching experience in the Los Angeles Unified School District included experience working with Kindergarten, and grades 1, 2, 4 and 5. I am confident that I have the necessary teaching skills, collaborative nature, and hard work ethic that would suit any educational organization, school district and/or family. I completed the Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential Program at California State University Northridge, which includes a Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) authorization. The 2012 National Teacher of the Year earned her teaching credential at Cal State Northridge. The university is a member of the Carnegie Corporation of New Yorks Landmark Teachers For a New Era Initiative and received a major gift from the Michael D. Eisner Foundation to establish the Center for Teaching and Learning and an Endowed Professorship. Completing my degree and credential program at CSU Northridge has, and continues to prepare me well to serve the educational community. You are welcome to explore my website for my resume, references, educational philosophy, classroom management plan, and educator resources. Second to this, an extensive collection of letters of recommendation from employers and professors, copies of student teaching evaluations, and test results are available upon request. Given the opportunity to work with your organization or school district, and/or family, I will provide students with a differentiated learning environment, which will encourage higher-level critical thinking, group collaboration, individual expression and academic success. Please contact me at the e-mail address listed above if you have any questions or require more information. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
