I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Binghamton University, where I graduated laude and with All-University Honors. After graduating, I ended up deciding to attended Fordham University School of Law on scholarship and received my Juris Doctor in 2015. I was recently laid off due to COVID-19, and I am keen to spend some time babysitting in order to earn some additional money while I consider thoroughly revamping my career. In the mean time, I am looking forward to opportunities to earn money doing something I actually find meaningful. I have worked caring for kids for many years, beginning as a mother's helper! I also freelance as a tutor, where I actually had a respectable success rate in helping students improve their scores. I genuinely enjoy helping children learn to learn and discover things about the world around him, and babysitting affords me an opportunity to watch that in action that I simply can't get elsewhere :) Furthermore, I have significant experience working with kids with Asperger Syndrome, ADHD, and other conditions, I have a profound personal understanding of phenomena like autistic meltdowns, as well as the more mundane issues us ADHDers face, such as leaving orphaned gloves everywhere! I have also worked with gifted children many times (and they can sometimes demonstrate the same behaviors!). And I feel I have a really good gasp of how to interact with kids--diverse kinds of kids--in a nurturing, enriching manner. I genuinely miss babysitting, and your position seems especially desirable.
