Dear Parents, My name is Gail and I am a recently single mother of a very curious, bright and adventurous 2 year old little girl. I have had the honor of being a SAHM since my daughter was born, however, I am looking to get back to work and, ideally, find a family that would welcome a playmate! A little about myself: I am originally from Long Island, NY. We relocated to the beautiful state of North Carolina three years ago searching for a better quality of life for my family. I started as a Nanny in my sophomore year of high school. My clients have consisted of upper class wealthy families who vacationed in the Hamptons to middle-lower class working families who were trying to juggle parenting and full time careers, while making ends meet (aren't we all?). My duties included assisting with the upbringing of children from birth to school aged. This includes but is not limited to: Diapers, Feedings, Bathing, Meal Prep, Cooking, Transportation to Doctor appointments, playdates, school activities and after school sports and activities. I will do laundry, light housekeeping, light yard maintenance and even tend to the needs of any family pets. Every client I've worked with has been through a previous client's referral. I have over 20 years of childcare experience that comes furnished with impeccable references! I absolutely love the outdoors, swimming, walks, parks, fishing. I also have a love for art....crafts, music, painting, writing, drawing. And when I am not working, you will find my daughter and I exploring new places with my camera in hand....as I am an avid photographer who never passes up the opportunity to capture life's beauty! In addition to my 20 years of childcare, I also come equipped with 17 years experience of volunteer community outreach services and 16 years of animal rescue, however I come from a pet free, smoke free home. As a side note, should you ever have to go away and are unable to take any four legged family members along, I'd be most happy to offer any pet-sitting services while you are away. A little about what I'm looking for: A great match would be a warm, loving, family-oriented household. I am comfortable with children of any age and any background, and am most comfortable with parents who understand and uphold the importance of allowing kids to be kids. I firmly believe that adventure and exercise are just as important as structure and homework. My goal is to set your minds and hearts at ease while you're at work and to make each new day for your children a fun and enjoyable memory that makes a lasting impression. I am open to watching your children in the comfort of their own home, in or around the Archdale area. I am open to flexible schedules, with the mutual understanding that this is my chosen career and I would require full-time hours or full time compensation. Basic childcare for 1 or more children would be at the rate of $10-$13/hr. Any non-child related work that is required of me (ex: Laundry, Cleaning, Mopping, Dishes, Errands,Lawn care) would be an additional charge. However, I am not opposed to working out a set flat weekly rate, if that benefits both parties. I am open to unique situations, so please feel free to inquire with any questions or concerns.
