Diane McAninch ( Hugs Alot Licensed Daycare Provider)

Sitter in Olathe

I currently have an opening for 6months and up to 3 yrs. old. I have had my successful Daycare business since 1999! I am very flexible to meet the need of every family. I truly love children and the relationships that I have had with moms and dads! The most important thing to have is great communication! I offer flexible rates, days and hours to all my families including part time and full time care. 7:30-5:30 M-F. I provide all nutritious food except formula. We have a mid-morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack. I supply all high chairs and boosters seats. Each child has their own every day. I do Holiday parties along with B-Day parties. I offer outside play every day when weather permits. I have outside riding toys, a small little tykes slide, and a covered stand up sand box, balls, sidewalk chalk. . .you name it. Even sprinkler fun when appropriate. We have a nearby church playground which is only separated from our house by a nice grassy area which we also use for play and picnics. Inside I have new carpet! Lots of books for story time and play time, puzzles, blocks, balls for all ages and dishes with 2 play kitchens. Music cd's with nursery rhymes and fun dancing music. We have coloring books dry erase boards and play dough. These are just some of the things that are available to the children each day. I have pack- n- plays and toddler cots. Each child has their own every day. I also am very equipped with items needed for infants swings, bouncy seat, excer-saucers and just about anything need for infant ages. I work with the children on all preschool requirements to get them ready for Kindergarten. 913-515-... I believe in a playful, healthy, safe, loving, and respectful environment so that the children will have the greatest opportunity to develop physically and mentally. I strive to create an environment that is personable, affectionate, encouraging and enriching to support all learning and growing opportunities. One must understand the way that children learn. The 1st step for any child is trust. It is important for the children to learn to socialize effectively, learn to share and to be kind. They all learn at different paces. They need to develop a good self-esteem. A good self-esteem is so important for the rest of their lives. They also have a great need for independence. I believe in structure, so they stay on a routine every day. I offer a small group and a home atmosphere. It is safe and soothing and is very relaxing to them and they can get the one on one attention that they need. At their young age I feel this is so very important! However, I do also believe at about age 4 it's important to expose them to a larger group that is more comparable to a kindergarten setting so they are ready for school. It is also easier to control germs and the sicknesses that are almost impossible to control in a larger group setting. I feel it is also important to have on a daily basis the same adult figure to rely on. I am also careful with my selection of families and children that I bring into my home. To ensure the safety and well-being of others a non-aggressive demeanor is required.
