I'm a mom of two college aged kids who turned out to be very successful in their careers. To be more specific, my daughter is a special needs teacher and my son is pursuing a law degree. After experiencing the impossible task of finding descent childcare for my own children where they can learn and be prepared for school, instead of watching TV all day. I have decided to open a childcare service with an emphasis on early childhood education (which is the basic stepping stone for learning). I'm working under the consultation of a seasoned preschool director who holds a Masters in education. I use lesson plans with specific themes to teach the children. They are allowed, dramatic play (for example, dress up play, simple science experiments, learning color and counting with leggos to name a few). My goal is to prepare the children for school while spending their day playing while learning. A little about me. I have dedicated my life by helping to prepare our children with all the tools necessary to have a love of learning at the earliest possible age. I have successfully done this for years by using teaching strategies with The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. The beauty with this teaching style is that the children are so busy having fun that they don't realize that they are learning the basic building blocks for future learning. I'm a very responsible, reliable and loving mom. I've worked with children for as long as I could remember, and watched them grow into successful individuals. My home is State certified, smoke-free and safe.
