Hi there, My name is Jessica Morris, I am halfway through my two year after-degree Bachelor of Education degree. I have over ten years experience with children - including those with special needs. I have day camps, practicums, babysitting, and volunteering. Most importantly, I have a passion for loving on and supporting children through genuine relationships! References and resumes available upon request. I love children and I have been working with children of all ages for over a decade. I have younger cousins, I grew up babysitting, and I have volunteered in churches. I have worked with the City of Calgary, YMCA, and Westside Recreation Centre as a before/after school program leader, recreation program leader, preschool coordinator, and preschool teacher. I have taught all ages of day camps, but the past two years I focus in on preschool and kindergarten programs and day camps teaching arts n’ crafts, gym n’ craft, sports, swimming, and regular classes. Essentially, I have tons of experience coordinating for kids programs as well as teaching arts, music, and physical education. Working with kids has instilled a love of learning, growing, mentoring, and being with students as well as an understanding of enjoying the journey and those you work with and for. My experience with children has taught me the importance of solid lesson plans coupled with flexibility and resourcefulness. Most importantly, I have learned the incredible importance of deep and meaningful relationships.
