Since about 13 years old I have been caring for children ages newborn to about 11 years. I've had a variety of jobs with local families in my home town, as well as other towns in Bergen/Rockland County consisting of short term babysitting (just for the night) or long-term after school ("nanny-like" care) multiple days a week. I make sure to provide a safe, warm environment for children including planning, preparing and arranging nutritious meals, cleaning up dining area after meals, adhering to particular dietary rules inside the family, supervising children s activities in their own rooms and play areas, keeping the kitchen neat and orderly during work hours, and organizing and taking part in leisure activities, for example games and reading.
