Hello! My name is Emiley and I love caring for others! Currently, I am an incoming senior at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a psychology major, dance and African American studies minor. After school I hope to continue working for the community through the arts, and mental health profession. For the past eight years, I have dedicated my time in teaching and mentoring my peers and youth ages two months to 18 years in dance, poetry, and other various forms of self-expression. For the past four years I have worked at three NAEYC and/or licensed childcare facilities. I have also worked with community organizations such as Teens With A Purpose, V2W Dance Experience Theater, Louder Than A Bomb, and Youth Speaks and dedicating my time to work with and for youth. Through Teens With A Purpose, Youth Speaks and various other organizations I have received training in child development, domestic violence prevention, body positivity, self-esteem, inclusion, workshop facilitation, and more.
