I currently work at a YMCA for the child watch department. Working for child watch has allowed me work with children from age 6 weeks to 5 years. I have also worked as a teacher assistant for a first grade class. Working with children is my ultimate passion in life. I enjoy being silly with them, doing interactive games, teaching them random Spanish words, and hearing all about what they think/stories. My undergraduate degree was to pursue a teaching degree but I decided to go for my Master's Degree to become a school counselor. I wanted to pick a career that allowed me work with children in a different manner. When I am not working or at school, I am with family. Being around my family means having some bonding time with my niece and nephew who are both 6 years old. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to have a career that allows me to be around children.
