Sitter in Bradenton, Florida

I'm an
Agency / Company
Hi! My name is Hannah Mennes. I am a Bradenton native and currently a sophomore at the University of Florida as a Pre-Nursing student with a minor in Disabilities in Society. I have always loved children, beginning at a young age babysitting my siblings and neighbors. In high school, I taught ballet classes at my local YMCA to children ages 4-6 and continued babysitting for more families. Since attending UF, I have become involved in their Baby Gators program, an on campus full time daycare, where I worked in both a newborn and 4-5 year old classroom. I also volunteer with Alachua County Public Schools and worked in elementary school classrooms for three semesters now. I am currently employed with a local private school here in Gainesville working as an aftercare counselor. Additionally, I volunteered with Foundation for Dreams as counselor at Dream Oaks weekend camps; Dream Oaks is a sleep-away camp for children with mental and physical disabilities. I have found a passion for working with children and hope to someday become a pediatric nurse. Please feel free to contact me!

To Whom It May Concern: I have had the pleasure of knowing Hannah Mennes over the past five years. Throughout this course of time, I have known Hannah in many capacities. We first became acquainted as peers in high school, where I was able to witness her dedication and passion for all that she became involved with. Whether it be her homework, her sports, or her extracurriculars, she was working tirelessly to better both herself and the student body as a whole. As we graduated and both attended the University of Florida, I was able to continue witnessing Hannah grow into the compassionate and giving young woman she has become. As a volunteer alongside her with Alachua County Public Schools, it became evident to me that she was made for caring for others. The children always seemed to flock to Hannah, and her selfless nature made it evident as to why. Whether it be to bandage a paper cut, answer a question on a math assignment, or even just to play at recess, the students always seemed to turn to her. We also became coworkers at Copytalk Business Services in the spring of our freshman year. It was through this that I was able to see the dedication she displayed in high school transfer into the professional world. She was timely, efficient, and thorough in all work assigned to her. Never once was she late for a shift or did she leave without completing the task at hand. Hannah is a capable, dedicated, and personable young woman. I feel confident in saying that she is capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and compassion.
