I'm an
Individual
Dolores Kelly 12975 Agustin Place, #127 Playa Vista, CA 90094 (... [email protected] My name is Dolores Kelly. In addition to my prior corporate professional background, I am also a mother of three college-age children: Tara, Connor and Daniel. Prior to having children of my own, I was a part-time/weekend Nanny in college for a family with two young girls. Before that I babysat steadily in my suburban neighborhood from sixth to twelfth grade--very often for infants and babies. When I was 14, my eighth-grade teacher and her husband had their first child and I started watching her for a few hours a week when she was just two weeks old. It grew into a five-year job until I left for college. They also introduced me to all of their friends with infants, who asked me to babysit for them as well. Here is a section from my resume, which is also available by email or on my Linked-In profile: Nineteen years ago, my youngest child was born with Glaucoma. His case required several surgeries and hospital exams under anesthesia, which continued into his early school years. His eye-related priorities led me to an unexpected departure from a ten-year career in Banking as a Commercial Lender and Treasury Management Officer for a major commercial Bank. Years later, after his vision and Glaucoma were stable, I accepted a seasonal position as a Coordinator, working on a large educational research study, the National Assessment of Educational Progress. While I have continued to accept seasonal positions with this company, I took a year off to learn more about Ophthalmology and completed the Ophthalmic Medical Technician certification program at a local college in 2014. This Program required an academic internship in Ophthalmology. I completed my internship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and, because of the personal rewards associated with working with children, I continued to volunteer within the Division of Ophthalmology for 15 months until it was time for our move to Los Angeles. As an educational research Coordinator, I spent a great deal of time in Los Angeles over the past few years; however, my husband and I lived and raised our children in a suburb of Philadelphia since we were first married. We recently permanently relocated to Playa Vista and are extremely excited to be here! I would love to have the opportunity to talk or meet with you personally to explain more about my background and qualifications for taking care of your child. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Dolores Kelly Excellent References Available Upon Request
