I am the mother of 6 grown children and 14 grandchildren. I am very active and love to hang out with the children. I feel I learn as much from them at times as they learn from me! I love to read stories, make up stories and have children make up stories to entertain ourselves. I am a big advocate of learning and growing in many different ways. Education is not just what you get in a classroom, but what you learn on little adventures we take in life. I love the out doors and feel that hiking, playing ball, running and breathing fresh air are important to the physical, mental and spiritual growth of anyone of any age, children especially are big beneficiaries of such activities. There is also a great amount to be said of the quiet times that help all to reflect on the day and ready ourselves for the night of rest and peace. I also am a strong advocate of chores, it is a great way to learn responsibility and the value of work. There is great pride in seeing a task that has been completed and the end results bring such fulfillment to the mind and body! I am a person of order and a little ocd in the way I like to handle situations, I also don't believe that children need to be yelled at to get results, children respond well to being reasoned with, sometimes with a humorous ending, but with satisfaction in the task. Oh, pets are just 4 legged grandchildren that need a little extra supervision at times, unless they have fins and swim!
