Hi, my name is Lauran, I'm 30 years old. I've worked with children since the age of 12 when I set up my own babysitting business! Even before that, I loved to assist the nursery teachers in school and would help to look after the children during lunch times. I originally graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design in my home country of Wales, fashion being another lifelong passion of mine. I then decided to pursue a career in teaching and graduated in 2010 with a Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education. For the next three years I worked as a school teacher. I taught many subjects, specifically Catering and Hospitality and Textiles as well as Childcare and English to children aged 11-16. In July 2013 I began working as a governess for two young girls who lived between France and Florida. I was responsible for their education which meant homeschooling them in Florida and whilst traveling too. Outside of school hours I looked after them as their nanny. I was responsible for taking care of their every need which meant cooking nutritious meals for them, taking them to extra curricular activities and ensuring they had daily exercise, all whilst having as much fun with them as possible! This would include a lot of crafting and baking activities, as well as arranging and often participating in their play dates and sleepovers. Although I became like a big sister to them and a part of their family, I made sure I focused on instilling discipline and moral values to their lives and continue to be a part of their lives now. I moved to New York very recently and I am now working on my own clothing line as well as being a part time intern for a local fashion designer.
