I am an 18 year old who has been babysitting for the last 5 years for various family friends and other families who I have been recommended to. I am a responsible, fun and hardworking young man who has had 6 years of experience with children from teaching in classrooms at Sir John A MacDonald Public School in Pickering to being a camp counsellor for both the City of Pickering and Town of Ajax. I am available during weeknights and weekends. I took my first babysitting course in 2012 and have since done another course through my high school to keep up to date with babysitting regulations. I also have first aid-CPR and high-five certification. I have a strong repertoire among my clients and if you need references I will gladly provide them. I started working with kids from the age of 12 in grade 7. I have always enjoyed working with kids because it is honestly fun and the fun that can be hand with a good relationship between myself and a kid or group of kids. I worked as an assistant counsellor for the City of Pickering in 2014 winning an award for the most hardworking assistant counsellor and worked for them during the March break and summer of 2015. I have thrived with these roles because of my easy going nature and my safety precautions. I believe that having a good relationship with kids helps them as much as myself and it is important for them to have a strong role model. I am also a basketball coach for the Durham City Basketball Association and work as a ref to the Durham District School Board. I have worked at 4 camps over the last 3 years and have had a lot of experience with a wide variety of kids over the years. I have also worked with children with special needs for the 2 years and continue to work with children with special needs at my high school, Pickering High. I am a three sport athlete and honour role student at Pickering High playing basketball, football and badminton currently with an 87% average. I can provide tutoring as well as babysitting services.
