Job Description: Infant Caregiver, Nanny or Doula Oneva is a Bay Area based company providing trusted in-home care for infants, children, and elders. We have immediate openings in the Bay Area for experienced infant and child care providers to provide care for families in the East Bay Hills, Orinda, Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and other areas around the Bay. You must be knowledgeable in infant and/or child, nutrition, behavior, hygiene, grooming, sleeping, and clothing. Some openings may include transporting infants or children to and from scheduled appointments. Duties Include: • Help in the development of infant behavior and social interaction through intellectual / language development with pictures, reading stories, eye contact, verbal interaction, and visual & audio stimulation. • Environment - maintain a healthy and safe environment which include but not limited to infant laundry, bottle washing, a clean area before and after eating and playing while infant is under supervision at all times. • Nutrition -- bottle feeding and formula or food preparation. Understand family dietary rules and routines. • Hygiene -- experienced at changing diapers, washing/bathing, swaddling, diaper rashes, expelling gas, holding, and grooming. • Understand how to appropriately recognize and manage colic symptoms. • Clothing - Dress Infant/ Child appropriately for indoor, outdoor, or sleep activities. • Sleep time -- crib preparation, night time routine, tooth brushing, last drink or eat time, SIDS safe practice awareness. • Provide care that is consistent with parental directives which are provided in advance. • Keep record of all infant/child activities for parent • Transportation on occasion -- understand California car seat laws, good driving record. Pay: • Minimum $15/hr plus will tip, up to 20% - Caregiver keeps entire tip. Hours: • 8:am -- 5:pm some evenings Days: • Monday -- Friday but days are flexible each week • Some weekday evenings and weekends Required : - we will assist you in getting certifications • TrustLine background checked - certification • Current infant/adult CPR and First aid -- certification • Must have a smart phone for texting, emails, camera shots and video conference Desire foreign language skills but not required. Positions can become FT Nanny.
