During high school I took medical classes which allowed me to obtain two certifications in addition to CPR; including infant CPR. I spent my senior year working part time at a daycare on weekdays. I worked with all age groups with the infants starting at 2 months old to 12-year-olds. During my second semester I participated in a Medical Assistant internship at a pediatric office. In addition to my Medical Assistant certification, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant which I obtained junior year. I am also a big sister to a 14 and 11-year-old. I have been babysitting my siblings as well as other children since I was 12. I will be majoring in Nursing at Southeastern University in the fall. I plan to go to medical school and become a pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Needless to say I love children and want to spend my life caring for them.
