Hello! I am Carrie, CNA, looking for a job babysitting in King/Pinnacle/Pilot Mountain area. I am experienced and as honest as they get! ...Wish you could find someone who would care for your child as if you were not even there? Well, that is a lot but there are people who love children and honestly care for them and do a great job (as well as pets). I do not have children of my own but that may or may not be the reason I love little children, elderly people and pets. I try to put myself in yours shoes as a parent (impossible) but I do try! If you are looking for the person who actually cares about children or a loved one, please let me have a chance to know you and your child/other. I would care for your child in my home or in your home. I am a certified nursing assistant with experience of a lifetime caring for children but professionally 10 years . I feel I have a special bond with children and adults as well. Children are our future!. I enjoy reading to children and playing games with them. I love to get down on the floor and play whatever! It is fulfilling to watch children learn as well. Children actually teach the adults in many ways with their unconditional love and spirit. I am from a large family and have babysat my younger siblings for starters! Then after that, all my life I have babysat for friends/ neighbors and after certification, cared for a 6-year-old boy with cerebral palsy for months. (He then started going to school). Next, I cared for an elderly lady in her home for approximately 2 years. I enjoy being around children especially. I am professional, experienced and certified. But more importantly, I would love to care for your child/children because I feel good at the end of the day knowing I have made a difference in a child's life and have been a great caregiver and done my best. I will not try to be a parent but just a simple, loving, caring, sincere childcare giver. I am local to Pinnacle and King. Mount Airy is a possibility depending on the mileage. I was raised on a tobacco farm, then attended Surry Community College, studied medical secretarial, then worked as a medical transcriptionist most of my adult life. I was certified as CNA about 20 years ago and did this part-time off on while working still as medical transcriptionist. Two years ago, I updated my certification at Forsyth Tech as CNA and since have been working in home health care mostly, but p.r.n. at facilities (assisted living) in Winston-Salem. Also, in the past, I have studied on line a few courses from (LLU) Liberty College in Lynchburg, Virginia (part-time) psychology, sociology and oral communications, etc. A huge part of studies in psychology included child studies and development. An example of this was age related studies i.e. (what age a child learns this and that, attention spans at different ages, etc). This was very interesting and intellectual. My hobbies are piano 5 years, voice lessons (4 years), making porcelain dolls, painting on wood (toll-painting), etc. I believe in keeping the memory active as well as the body physically intact no matter the age.
