Sitter in Jersey City, New Jersey

Hello, My name is Nahja Joseph and I am 17 years old. I may be under 18, but I am a very responsible young adult. I am a senior at Saint Dominic Academy in Jersey City, NJ and I don't live too far from their either. For some time now, I have been trying to pick up a babysitting job for ages 2 , but I never seem to succeed because I don't have my license just yet. I have been working since I was 15 years old but when I was 12 and 14 years old, I volunteered at a Daycare in Saint Lucia, a Caribbean Island. 2015, summertime, I worked at the NAACP in Jersey City. My coworker and I sealed envelopes with important event information and we walked up and down the neighborhood to deliver the mail. We also made phone calls to people apart of the association to share news, sent out emails and did research on the computer. During the summer of 2016, I worked at Rolling Hills Day Camp, counseling for 3 and 4 year old's for 6 1/2 hours everyday for 2 months. The job consisted of changing the kids in and out of their clothes for swimming time or many special events with one being Halloween at camp. The counselors and I would also assist the kids when using the bathroom and catering to their needs during lunch time. A benefit from this job was getting offered a babysitting role for a family's kids aged 3 and 6. While babysitting those 2 children, I would prepare them a snack, read stories to them, and play with them with toys to keep them entertained. Another big task was bathing them, washing their hair and putting them into pajamas for bed. No matter how hard the job was, I still find an interest in working with young children and I hope to become a nurse someday!
